Tony Khan has commented on the Vince McMahon docuseries and that his priorities have remained firmly on AEW.
Just under a week ago the Netflix docuseries Mr. McMahon was finally released on Netflix and saw 6 hours dedicated to the life, career and scandals of Vince McMahon and some of the biggest moments in WWE. With many from the wrestling world excited about the show ahead of time and commenting on the final cut, the AEW President is not one of the many who has streamed the show and has more pressing issues.
While appearing on Quinn and Cantara, Khan was asked if he had seen the show or if he had ever met McMahon:
“No, I’ve been so busy with football and wrestling I have not seen that documentary. I’ve not gotten to watch that. Really mostly focused here on what we’re doing in AEW. I do love watching wrestling all over the world, and we work with a lot of the top wrestling leagues.”
“I’ve never met [Vince McMahon] and have never really worked with [WWE]. But have really grown up as a wrestling fan and a historian of the pro wrestling business. So, absolutely, we love being the challenger promotion and trying to grow and build AEW from the ground up. You know, it’s only been five years we’ve been around and done a lot in that time.”
