TNA has named a new President as multiple backstage personnel have since departed the company.

Following an initial report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that the now former President of the company Anthony Cicione had left the promotion, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select later reported that both Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme had also exited the company. Cicone was the President for around a year, taking over from Scott D’Amore, who was fired from the promotion shortly after the rebranding.

Mathews was with TNA for over a decade, signing with the company back in 2014 and has undertaken a variety of roles within the company including announcing. Hemme was with the promotion from 2006 to 2016 and was a wrestler, ring announcer and backstage interviewer while with the company. Hemme made her return in 2022 to oversee the promotion’s social media.

TNA Issues Statement

In a statement issued to Jon Alba of SI, Carlos Silva has been named the new President of the company while also confirming that both Mathews and Hemme are no longer a part of TNA:

Neither Mathews nor Hemme have commented on their exits.

The news comes as multiple talents have also departed TNA over the past few months including Rhino, Josh Alexander, Trent Seven and Jordynne Grace, who is now signed to WWE.
