Tatum Paxley Wins WWE NXT Women's Championship

Tatum Paxley has won NXT gold for the first time in her career.

Competing at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 25, Paxley defeated Jacy Jayne to win the NXT Women’s Championship. The closing moments of the match saw The Culling make their return to ringside after they were previously ejected by the referee. Izzi Dame looked like she was going to strike Paxley, but instead hit Jayne. Paxley followed it up with a cementary dive to win the match and the title.

A shocked Izzi Dame looked on from ringside as Paxley celebrated with The Culling to the delight of the fans.

This was the second of 3 title changes to take place on the show. The other 2 matches saw Blake Monroe defeat Zaria to become the new Women’s North American Champion, along with Darkstate defeating The Hardys to win back the Tag Team Championships.

Tatum Paxley Wins Big

The victory marks Paxley’s first ever pro wrestling championship in her career, and also ended Jayne’s reign at 150 days. Jayne won the Women’s Championship at the Roadblock special back in March, shockingly defeating Stephanie Vaquer to win the title. During her reign, Jayne also captured the TNA Knockouts Championship, becoming the first woman to hold both titles simultaneously.
