The World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in London.
Following a successful defence of the title in an open challenge against Damian Priest, Seth Rollins was challenged to a match by a familiar rival, Finn Balor.
Balor expressed his anger at Rollins for injuring him at SummerSlam 2016, where both men fought to be crowned the first ever Universal Champion. Balor won the match, but due to an injury sustained by Rollins, the title had to be relinquished 24 hours later.
Balor declared that he would injure Rollins and halt his momentum at Money in the Bank, officially issuing the challenge.
Rollins stated that while Balor got bitter, he got better, with the proof being that he is the champion, then officially accepting the challenge for the London PLE.
The updated line-up for Money in the Bank is as follows:
- Zelina Vega vs. Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark vs. Bayley vs. IYO SKY vs. 1 TBD– Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match
- Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. LA Knight vs. Butch vs. Santos Escobar vs. Damian Priest – Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match
- Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor – Singles match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
