Seth Rollins Believes The Rock Still Has A Few Matches Left In WWE

Seth Rollins believes that fans have not seen the last of The Rock inside a WWE ring.

11 years on from his last full match, the Hollywood star stepped back into the ring once again at WrestleMania 40 as he and Roman Reigns teamed up to take on Rollins and Cody Rhodes in what was a pivot from the original plan that would have seen Rock take on Reigns.

Although Rock has made numerous appearances in the past 12 months, recent reports and storyline directions have all but confirmed that The Final Boss will not be in action in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41, meaning that fans will have to wait at least a year for the Rock vs. Reigns match that has been rumoured for quite some time.

With Rock turning 53 this year and fully focused on Hollywood projects, some believe that his Mania 40 match may be the final time that he competes inside the squared circle. However, during an appearance on Maggie & Perloff, Rollins believes The Great One is not done in the ring just yet:

“You get in there one time, and you might think you can do a full schedule, but I don’t know if it’s as easy as it looks. You get in there, you do one, and you go, ‘Okay, I can do this.’ He’s smart enough to know his days of doing it full-time has come and gone. Do I think he can get in there and do one more or a couple more? Absolutely. He was in prime condition and ready to go. He was a game opponent. For a guy that hasn’t done it in ten years, that’s really hard. It is like riding a bike, but it’s not one time. You need to get in there and get your reps in to get your mind where it’s at. He was an incredible performer that night. He was able to slip back into it. It was an honor for me to be in the ring with him. That’s a guy who is a Hall of Famer and a legend in our business. He’s on the Board of Directors now as well, so he’s continued to help that side of the business. It was a fun ride getting in there and to be able to stomp the crap out of The Rock.”

However, with Rollins suffering an injury in the build-up to the event, his participation at Mania looked to be in doubt.
