Rhea Ripley Did Not Escape WWE WrestleMania 41 Unscathed

Rhea Ripley has shown off the damage of her match at WrestleMania 41, which the Raw has described as a “souvenir.”

In the opening match of WrestleMania 41 night 2, Ripley and Bianca Belair both challenged IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship. While most believed that Belair or Ripley would walk out as the champion, SKY ultimately emerged the victor after hitting a moonsault and pinning Belair to keep her reign going. The match was well-received by fans with many believing that it was the best match of night 2.

Unfortunately for Ripley, the former Women’s World Champion was also on the receiving end of a nasty strike in the match. Posting an update to her Instagram page, Ripley is seen sporting a black eye. It is unknown which spot in the match caused the injury.

Ripley previously suffered a fractured right orbital socket, meaning that she had to wear a protective mask while in the WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Rhea Ripley Unable To Emerge Victorious At WrestleMania 41

Ripley was unable to replicate her victories from the past 2 years. At WrestleMania 39, The Eradicator defeated Charlotte Flair to begin her year-plus title reign in what was a match of the year contender. One year later, Ripley put the title on the line against Becky Lynch in the opening match of WrestleMania 40. Much like the previous year, Ripley was the one who emerged the overall victor.
