Positive Update On Will Ospreay As AEW Star Continues Recovery

More information has been provided on Will Ospreay as the AEW star continues his recovery from neck surgery.

As reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful SelectOspreay was backstage at the January 21 episode of Dynamite, but was never planned to be a part of the show. Instead, the British wrestler was due to be checked out by AEW’s medical team ahead of a return to the ring. It should be noted that while this is the very early stages of evaluation, the recovery signs are positive as many expected Ospreay to be out of action for around a year.

The report also adds that while there has been no specific date of a return to action for Ospreay, the company are hopeful that he could be factored into creative plans around springtime.

Ospreay joined AEW full-time in the spring of 2024, and is a 2-time International Champion since signing with the promotion.

Will Ospreay Written Off AEW TV For Recovery

Ospreay last competed at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in London, England back in August 2025 as part of the 10-man steel cage match that headlined the show. After the babyface team were victorious, Ospreay was attacked by the heels to write him off TV so that he could undergo neck surgery. With All In set to return to Wembley Stadium in August 2026, many fans in the UK are hoping that Ospreay will be fully recovered in time for the show.
