Omos Addresses Recent WWE Interactions With Oba Femi

Omos has elaborated further on his recent altercation and match with Oba Femi at WWE NXT live events.

At an NXT house show on October 10, The Nigerian Giant made a surprise appearance to initially save Femi from a Darkstate beatdown, before confronting the former NXT Champion. The next night, both men fought to a no contest when the NXT Tag Team Champions interfered in the match.

The interactions generated a lot of buzz online, with many hoping that the match will one day happen on TV. While speaking with TMZ, Omos noted that he made the appearance to show Femi “how to properly pay respect to his elders, because back home, I’m considered his elder.” Omos also added that he was preparing Femi for what he could expect on the main roster when the inevitable call-up happens:

“It was great to have that experience to show him what the big leagues are about on the main roster.”

Omos A Big Fan Of Oba Femi

Later in the interview, the former Tag Team Champion spoke highly of the former NXT Champion, noting that he felt that there was chemistry between them both in the ring:

“I could tell the chemistry was there and we have something amazing. That’s the thing about this business. When you get in the ring with another individual, you want to feel that chemistry, that you guys can make magic, and I felt that in that moment.“

“Like I said again, I just had to show him who the big boss is and who the veteran is. “

Omos also out over Femi’s time in NXT so far, which has seen him have lengthy reigns as NXT Champion and NXT North American Champion:

“He’s done a great job with NXT, extremely charismatic, great on the mic, great body of work, great physicality, and guys like Oba are humbling to face. It gives me a lot of excitement when I meet guys that have such physical prowess as he does.“

Both men have remained off TV for an extended period. Omos has not had a televised match since Worlds Collide back in June, while Femi was last seen on TV at No Mercy back in September, where he lost the NXT Championship to Ricky Saints.
