More matches have now been made official for the 2025 AEW X NJPW crossover show Forbidden Door, which will air live from the UK.
On the July 31 edition of Collision, Athena addressed pinning Women’s Champion Toni Storm the previous night on Dynamite. After stating that pinning Storm is too easy, Athena signed the contract to make her future title match official against Storm in London at the next pay-per-view. Athena also referenced that Storm has not had the best luck in London, losing her last 2 matches in the UK. Athena won the opportunity to challenge for the title by winning the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match at All In: Texas.
Also on Collision, the latest confrontation occurred between Unified Champion Kazuchika Oakda and Swerve Strickland. Following the altercation, it was announced that Okada’s first challenger would be Strickland.
Also announced for the show will be Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final UK match and The Hurt Syndicate putting their Tag Team Championships on the line against a team to be determined.
