Further details have emerged on Piper Niven and the injury that is keeping her out of action amid concerns that it could be the end of her career.
On September 21, news broke from Fightful Select that Niven was out with an injury until further notice, but the nature of the injury and the severity were not disclosed. In a concerning follow-up by Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, it was added that the former Women’s Tag Team Champion’s injury was so severe that it could be the end of her career:
“There’s concern that it could be career-ending, so whatever it is, I mean, it’s serious. Hopefully she can come back, but she is out due to injury.”
With fans understandably worried as to what the future holds for the Scottish wrestler, a further report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has provided some more clarity. Fightful reports that Niven is dealing with a neck injury, and is waiting for an official diagnosis. However, those within the company believe that she will return to action.
Piper Niven Expected To Return From Injury
Prior to suffering the reported neck injury, Niven was seen on SmackDown alongside Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre as part of The Secret Hervice. To cover for the injury in storyline, Green stated that Niven is on a “top secret assignment”, and has put out the call to have a new member join the faction, which is likely to pay off within the next few weeks.
Features of Wrestling continues to wish Piper Niven a full and speedy recovery.
