Matches have been announced for the first WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event of 2025, which will take place the week before the Royal Rumble.
The returning special will air live on January 25th in San Antonio, Texas and already has 2 huge matches confirmed for the show. On the January 13th episode of Raw, World Heavyweight Champion Gunther was interrupted by Jey Uso, who demanded a title shot at the upcoming show. Although Gunther mocked Uso and reminded him that he had already lost twice to The Ring General in their previous 2 matches, Uso still agreed to the match.
Also on the show, Sheamus defeated Ludwig Kaiser and had a confrontation with Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker after the match. Still looking to win the title and become the ultimate Grand Slam Champion, Sheamus will challenge Breakker for the title.
Announced on the January 17th episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens will sign the contract to make their ladder match at the Royal Rumble official. To ensure order, San Antonio’s own Shawn Michaels will moderate the event.

- Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus – Singles match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
- Jacob Fatu vs. Braun Strowman
- Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
- Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens to sign the contract to make their match at the Royal Rumble official. Shawn Michaels will serve as the special guest enforcer.
