WWE Money in the Bank is set to take place in California for the first time in the event’s history.
As reported by WrestleVotes radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass podcast, the show is set to air live from the Intuit Dome in California, which was also the same venue to host the Raw on Netflix premiere back in January:
“So we can confirm the initial report of our good friend and former guest of WrestleVotes Radio, Andrew Baydala, that the location of this year’s Money in the Bank PLE has been decided and agreed to with the show calling the Intuit dome in Los Angeles, California, home in 2025. This will mark the first PLE to take place inside the brand new Intuit Dome, of course, the host of the debut of Netflix back in January. This will be the 16th Money in the Bank pay-per-view of all time and the first taking place inside the state of California.”
While no date has been confirmed at the time of writing, Money in the Bank is expected to take place over the summer. Now considered one of the “big 5” events, the PLE is famous for its titular ladder match, which grants one man and one woman a future title shot at any time of their choosing. The show has taken place outside of the United States for the past couple of years with the 2024 event taking place in Canada and the 2023 event taking place in the UK.
What Happened At WWE Money In The Bank 2024?
The winners of the briefcases at the 2024 event were Drew McIntyre and Tiffany Stratton. McIntyre cashed his contract in later in the night on the match between World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest and challenger Seth Rollins. However, thanks to interference from CMPunk, McIntyre was unable to capitalise and win the title. For Stratton, following months of teasing a cash-in the SmackDown star finally cashed in on Nia Jax at the start of the year to win the championship for the first time in her career.
