LA Knight looks to be remaining with WWE according to a new report.
As reported by PWInsider, Knight appears to be close to signing a new contract with WWE that will last 5 years. The deal is reportedly either very close to being finalised or has actually closed.
The negotiations have been the reason why Knight’s push has been put on hold, as WWE were waiting for The Megastar to commit. Once the new deal has been confirmed, WWE are expected to present Knight as the top babyface on SmackDown.
In an update by Fightful Select, the negotiations are WWE thinking ahead as Knight’s deal is not up for renewal any time soon. Fightful believes that Knight’s current contract expires in late 2024 to early 2025.
Knight has consistently been one of the most popular Superstars each week, getting some of the loudest reactions on SmackDown and at Premium Live Events. Many has expected Knight to have won either the Money in the Bank briefcase or a championship in 2023, but this has still not happened at the time of writing. All might change once the new deal has been confirmed.
Knight recently competed at Payback, where The Megastar defeated The Miz as John Cena acted as special guest referee.
