LA Knight Not Injured, Why Was WWE Star Removed From Event?

Despite what was advertised at a meet and greet event, LA Knight is not injured.

Following an incorrect statement saying otherwise, LA Knight is not injured.

The former United States Champion was originally announced for a Meet and Greet at Luken’s Wine and Spirits and replaced by Braun Strowman. The original social media post claimed that Knight would not be in attendance for the event as he had suffered an injury:

“Important Update? While we’re sad to announce that WWE Superstar LA Knight is unable to attend the December 17th event due to injury, we’ve got great news: WWE Superstar Braun Strowman has stepped up to replace him! We’ll be making an announcement shortly with details—stay tuned!”

With Knight being as announced as injured, fans were understandably concerned as this was not announced or reported ahead of time. In a follow-up report by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, it was stated that Knight is not injured and the change was made as Knight was never approved for the appearance in the first place, according to those within the company. It is unknown why Luken’s stated that Knight was injured.

LA Knight Sees Title Reign Come To An End

Back at SummerSlam, Knight defeated Logan Paul to become the new United States Champion, his first title reign on the main roster. Knight would reign with the gold until Survivor Series when lost the championship to Shinsuke Nakamura.

Since losing the title, Knight has become involved in The Bloodline saga and will take on Solo Sikoa on the December 20th episode of SmackDown.
