Kenny Omega is the new IMPACT World Champion following the events of IMPACT’s Rebellion pay per view on Sunday April 25th. In the main event of the show, the AEW World Champion defeated Rich Swann for the title. The victory happened via pinfall due to a One Winged Angel by Omega onto Swann.
This is the third championship currently held by Omega. Kenny is the holder of the IMPACT World Championship, the AEW World Championship and AAA’s Mega Championship. The match came to be as a result of an idea by IMPACT Executive Scott D’Amore. At IMPACT Sacrifice held on March 13th 2021, IMPACT Champion Swann battled TNA Champion Moose in a title unification match. Swann won this match and earned the right to face Omega in the title vs. title match at Rebellion.
Also on the show, former WWE star Big Cass [now going by William Morrissey] made his debut for the promotion.
