Huge John Cena Match Being Discussed For WWE Money In The Bank

John Cena looks set to be part of a major match at WWE Money in the Bank that could also generate mainstream coverage, given the rumoured participants.

It was previously reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that rapper Travis Scott, who made an appearance at WrestleMania, has been discussed to team with the Undisputed Champion as part of a tag team match or a 6 man. It is also added that the Grammy Award winner has been training with Hall of Famer Booker T ahead of his rumoured in-ring debut.

In a follow-up by WrestleVotes, Scott is still expected to appear at the upcoming Premium Live Event on June 7th, which has also been the plan for months:

Amid speculation, we’re told WWE has plans for Travis Scott to appear at the Money in the Bank PLE on June 7th. Sources indicate this has been in the works since before WrestleMania.
It has also been speculated that one of Cena’s opponents would be former WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who Cena defeated at WrestleMania 41 to win his record-breaking championship after capitalising on a distraction by Scott.
Given his previous history with CM Punk, fans speculated that Cena may revisit his rivalry with the Chicago native at Money in the Bank given their history back in 2011. However, this is no longer the case.

When Will John Cena Compete Next?

Following the events that took place at Backlash and the press conference that followed, Cena will take on R-Truth at Saturday Night’s Main Event on May 24th. Much like the rumoured match at Money in the Bank, Cena’s title will not be on the line.
