The Road to the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is now officially underway ahead of the January 31 Premium Live Event.
On the January 16 episode of SmackDown, Cody Rhodes addressed his shocking loss to Drew McIntyre, which saw McIntyre take advantage of a Jacob Fatu attack on Rhodes to win the WWE Championship.
While McIntyre has stated that there will be no rematch, Rhodes is still looking for a way back to McIntyre. The American Nightmare hopes to follow in the footsteps of Steve Austin by winning the Rumble match for a third time, and has announced his entry into the match.
On the next episodes of Raw and SmackDown, more names announced their entry for the upcoming match in Saudi Arabia. Notable names to have been confirmed for the match include former Rumble winners Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, Rey Mysterio, Bayley and Charlotte Flair.
