Former WWE star Eva Marie has stated that if the opportunity arose she would make a return to the company.
While appearing as a guest on Daria and Toni Unwrapped, which is hosted by fellow former wrestler Daria Berenato [Sonya Deville] and her wife Toni, Marie admitted that she is always keeping the door open for one more run, adding that there is no high like competing in front of fans:
“I mean, always. I always keep the door open because I’d be silly not to, you know? And I love performing, there’s nothing like it. If you want to talk about drugs and alcohol? [Performing] is the biggest high. And you see it too in superstars, they just can’t let it go. It’s like, ‘Hey, you should retire,’ and you can’t find that high anywhere else.
“The WWE Universe is the best fanbase. They’re crazier than ever, but they’re loyal too. And so to be able to walk out into like a 100,000 people arena? Where you gonna get that?”
Eva Marie Open To Another WWE Run
Marie first rose to fame after winning an untelevised Divas Search before going on to being introduced to the wider fanbase as a member of the Total Divas cast, Marie’s first run lasted from 2013 to 2017, with stints in both NXT and on the main roster.
Marie re-signed with the company in 2020 and was reintroduced in early 2021, before being released in November of that year as part of the multiple rounds of layoffs. Her most notable work during that time was introducing Piper Niven as her ally, with Niven going by the name of Doudrop. Although Marie never won a championship in professional wrestling, she was ranked 50th in the PWI Female 50 back in 2016.
