Cody Rhodes has channelled his inner Supe in the latest commercial for Amazon’s superhero series The Boys.
The brief 30-second ad on social media sees multiple clips of the lead character Homelander playing as the camera pans up to reveal The American Nightmare in full entrance attire. Rhodes turns to the camera, asks Homelander what he wants to talk about and sees his eyes glow red as the camera cuts.
The Boys is based on the comic book series of the same name and sees superheroes attempting to keep the world safe while avoiding multiple PR disasters in the process. However, as fans of the show are aware, not all of the Supe’s intentions are for good, especially Homelander, who is known for being psychologically manipulative, violent and unhinged. With the series filled with profanity, violence, gore and graphic scenes, this series is anything but family-friendly.
Rhodes’ entrance attire saw many fans compare the Undisputed Champion to the leader of The Seven with The American Nightmare gradually leaning into the comparisons. Here’s hoping that when the eventual heel turn comes Rhodes will not be as violent as the real Homelander!

Cody Rhodes Shoots Down Rumour
Much like Homelander, Rhodes was unstoppable in getting what he wanted as he overcame all the odds at WrestleMania 40 to become the new Undisputed Champion. The road to the title was anything but easy as the return of The Rock proved to be a major roadblock for Rhodes to achieve his destiny. While multiple rumours circulated about the pivots that took place behind the scenes, Cody Rhodes has confirmed that one of these was not true.
