Cody Rhodes looks set to be part of a major WWE Premium Live Event that is heavily rumoured to take place in 2025.
One of many changes that have taken place since Endeavor took over WWE has been the global expansion as more shows have taken place outside of the United States and Canada. On top of the annual Saudi Arabia shows, fans in France, Germany, the UK and Australia have all seen WWE come to town to present PLEs and TV tapings.
While not officially announced, there have been rumours that the promotion will be travelling to Mexico in 2025 to host a number of shows that will culminate in the first-ever Mexican Premium Live Event.
Speaking about the rumoured show on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about the rumoured shows, adding that The American Nightmare is set to be one of the top stars at tht event:
“They will be doing a WWE show there. I don’t know the date yet but I know they’re planning a big show with Cody Rhodes as the top star on that show, which means a major show there relatively soon.”
When Will Cody Rhodes Return To WWE?
The former Undisputed Champion has been absent from TV ever since he lost the Undisputed Championship to John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania 41. Although Rhodes has been advertised to appear at multiple SmackDown tapings, the line-up was changed and there has been no sign of The American Nightmare. According to a previous report, Rhodes is set to be back by Money in the Bank, either at the show itself or on one of the SmackDowns leading up to the event.
