CM Punk Revealed As Coverstar For WWE 2K26; Release Date Announced

CM Punk has been officially announced as the main cover star for WWE 2K26, along with when the game will become available.

On January 30, a video aired promoting the base game iteration of the latest instalment. Michael Cole noted that special editions of the game had been revealed earlier in the week before turning his attention to the official coverstar, which was revealed to be Punk.

At the end of the video, a graphic also flashed up stating that all versions of the game can be pre-ordered now, with the release set to be on March 13. At the time of writing, WWE 2K26 is not listed on the PlayStation store in the UK, bit is expected to be added soon.

2K Games uploaded the artwork shortly afterwards, with Punk seen on the cover. The artwork also features phrases closely associated with Punk, such as “I’m straight edge” and “Go to sleep.”

The last time that Punk graced the cover of a WWE videogame was back in 2012 when he featured on the artwork for WWE ’13, which also focused on The Attitude Era.

Prior to the base game reveal, 3 special editions of 2K26 were announced, all paying homage to the late 90s. Along with The Attitude Era and Monday Night War editions, a King of Kings edition also dropped that saw Triple H on the cover. The Hall of Famer is also on the cover of the other 2 special edition games.

Those who oerder the special editions will be granted early access to the game, as has been the case with the past few years, but it is currently unknown how early this will be.
