Christian Cage will be remaining with AEW for the foreseeable future.
Cage first debuted at the Revolution pay-per-view in 2021, being hyped up as the “Hall of Fame worthy” wrestler.
Two and a half years later and Cage has confirmed that he will be remaining with the promotion and has gotten a significant pay-rise.
Speaking on the All Out press conference, Cage stated that Tony Khan made the right decision, then stating how he has got a “big fat contract” to remain with AEW:
“It might have been some of you people who said I wasn’t worth the hype. I think I’ve proved you all wrong now. I know I proved Tony Khan right because he just re-signed me to a big fat contract. He opened the vault for me and I deserve every single penny that I got,”
Christian Cage competed at the All In pay-per-view, teaming with Swerve Strickland to lose to Darby Allin and Sting in a tag team coffin match. At All Out, Cage was integral in helping Luchasaurus retain the TNT Championship in his match with Darby Allin.
