Bianca Belair Wins WWE Women’s Championship At SummerSlam

Bianca Belair overcomes injury to win the WWE Women’s Championship.

Defeating both Asuka and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam, The EST limped her way back to the ring to win the title following a very bad landing to the outside.

Belair was thrown over the top rope to the outside, hitting her knee on the steel steps as she landed. Belair could be seen clutching her knee and in a lot of pain following the landing.

Referee Jessica Carr checked on The EST, before calling over medical assistance to resume officiating the match. Belair was then helped to the back by medical personnel as the match continued between Asuka and Charlotte Flair.

Just at it looked like Belair would be out of the match altogether, The EST would make her way back to the ring to break up Flair’s submission attempt on Asuka. Resuming the match effectively on one leg, Belair rolled up Asuka, who has just misted Flair, to win the match and become the new champion.

Unfortunately for the new champion, the celebrations were short lived, as IYO SKY ran down the ramp with the Money in the Bank Briefcase in had. Following SKY and Bayley taking out Flair and Asuka, SKY targeted the injured leg of Belair, cashing in the briefcase, hitting a Moonsault and becoming the new champion, continuing Belair’s bad luck at the biggest party of the summer.
