A match was cut short at a WWE Live Event.
On Sunday, July 16th, Asuka defended the WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair and Bayley in a 4-Way match at a house show in Salisbury, Maryland.
As seen via fan footage, the former Women’s Champion is seen landing awkwardly and clutching her knee. Referee Jessica Carr is seen throwing up the X sign while Flair and Asuka attempt to continue the match.
According to fans at the event, Bayley was assisted to the back after the match ended by medical personnel.
Taking to social media after the event, the Damage CTRL member posted a picture of her right knee iced up backstage, telling the WWE Universe that she will be ok:
I’ll be alright, thanks everyone. pic.twitter.com/ndfB1hhQ0S
