WWE NXT General Manager Ava is set to leave the company imminently.
Making the surprising announcement on social media on January 30, Ava let the fans know that the January 27 show was her final appearance on TV. The 4th-generation star thanked everyone who supported her on her pro wrestling journey, adding that the decision to leave the company was not an easy one.
At the time of writing, there have been no reports or official statements from WWE regarding Ava’s replacement as the NXT authority figure. It is likely that this will be addressed on the next episode of the show on February 3, which will also see a new NXT Champion crowned in a ladder match after Oba Femi vacated the title earlier in the year.
Who Is WWE NXT General Manager Ava?
Ava, real name Simone Johnson, is the daughter of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and interacted with the Hollywood star on the first NXT of 2025. Signing with the company in 2020, Ava made history by becoming the first 4th-generation wrestler to sign a contract.
Making her televised debut as a part of the Schism stable, Ava competed in 6 matches across TV tapings and house shows before transitioning into a non-physical role.
Ava went on to become the on-screen assistant of Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels before being promoted to General Manager of the developmental brand in early 2024.
