A title match and more took place on the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.
With Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin both making a major impact since their arrival, The Hurt Syndicate members were in action as they challenged Private Party for the AEW Tag Team Championships. Additionally, Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega met face-to-face to settle their differences with each tother as their problems with The Don Callis Family continue.
Following his return the previous week, Samoa Joe was set to be in action in his first match in 6 months but the match was delayed due to travel issues.
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz were the commentary team for the show.
The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:
- Tony Schiavone opened the show by introducing Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega. Ospreay welcomed Omega back and stated that he came back at a bad time due to Jon Moxley holding the World Championship hostage and The Don Callis Family continuing to cause issues. Omega cut off Ospreay and stated that he was number one before refusing Ospreay’s help. The segment was interrupted by The Don Callis Family. Omega brawled with Konsuke Takeshita and Ospreay brawled with Kyle Fletcher. Brian Cage and Lance Archer got involved and the brawl continued around the arena. Both men finally got on the same page and stood tall before making the challenge of Ospreay and Omega vs. Takeshita and Fletcher
- The Hurt Syndicate defeated Private Party to become the new Tag Team Champions
- Jeff Jarrett apologised for his comments made towards MJF the previous week before issuing the challenge to World Champion Jon Moxley. Claudio Castagnoli interrupted, leading to a match being made between the 2 for the following week.
- Swerve Strickland defeated AR Fox. After the match, Ricochet threatened Prince Nana
- Adam Page defeated a local competitor. After the match, Christopher Daniels confirmed he had retired. MJF interrupted and stated that he would be the one to end Jeff Jarrett’s career
- Jamie Hayter defeated Julia Hart
- Cope defeated Pac. After the match, Cope and Jay White were attacked by The Death Riders
