AEW Dynamite Results 24/4/24

AEW Dynamite set

The fallout from AEW Dynasty, a title match and more took place on AEW Dynamite.

Following on from AEW Dynasty on April 21st, multiple new champions made their presence felt on the show. New AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland, new FTW Champion Chris Jericho and new TBS Champion Willow Nightingale all made appearances on the show.

Additionally, new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley defended the title against Powerhouse Hobbs.

The Following Results Took Place On AEW Dynamite:

  • The Elite and Jack Perry were seen arriving at Daily’s Place. Security tried to stop Perry from entering but The Young Bucks overruled them.
  • Trent attacked Orange Cassidy and called out Chuck Taylor. Taylor chose to align with Cassidy and challenged Trent to a parking lot brawl
  • Swerve Strickland defeated Kyle Fletcher
  • Mina Shirakawa defeated Anna Jay. Jay attacked Shirakawa and Mariah May after the match but Toni Storm made the save
  • Willow Nightingale celebrated as the new TBS Champion. Mercedes Mone interrupted and said that she would become the new champion at Double or Nothing. Mone slapped Nightingale and Nightingale was held back
  • Will Ospreay was the last man standing in a gauntlet match that also featured Jay White, Dante Martin, Penta El Zero Miedo, Kyle O’Reilly, Lance Archer, Komander, and Jay Lethal. Ospreay will challenge International Champion Roderick Strong for the title at Double or Nothing
  • Chris Jericho celebrated as FTW Champion. Big Bill interrupted and said that he wanted to be a part of the learning tree and was looking to prove himself.
  • Jon Moxley defeated Powerhouse Hobbs to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship
  • Jack Perry called Tony Khan to the ring. Perry admitted they have had their ups and downs but wanted to do what’s best for AEW. Peryy then struck Khan in the ribs before The Elite came down. Khan was spiked by The Elite. Shad Khan and others came down to the ring to check on Tony Khan’s well-being.
