AEW has confirmed details for the Blood and Guts 2025 event.
As announced on social media on September 30, the violent stipulation match will be coming to the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina on Wednesday, November 12. The venue is best known to wrestling fans by its former name, The Greensboro Coliseum.
Making its return for the 5th consecutive year, Blood and Guts sees a double ring put in place that is surrounded by a steel cage. Similar to the iconic WarGames match, competitors from each team enter the match at timed intervals, and the match can only be won by submission or surrender.
The 2024 show saw Team AEW [Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, Max Caster, and Anthony Bowens] defeat The Elite [Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry, and “Hangman” Adam Page] when Darby Allin threatened to light Jack Perry on fire before the heels surrendered. Living up to its name, the violent match has seen a lot of bloodshed at each event, and it is also one of the most popular episodes of Dynamite each year as violence and newsworthy moments are very much expected!.
Could Women Compete In AEW Blood And Guts 2025?
Following the latest developments on AEW TV, it appears that a women’s Blood and Guts match is set to take place for the first time ever, as Jamie Hayter laid down the challenge to Triangle of Madness [Thekla, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue] to compete in the cage match later in the year.
