Adam Copeland Cleared For Physicality, When Will AEW Star Return?

Some good news for Adam Copeland.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, The Rated R Superstar has been cleared for physicality and is edging closer to a return to the ring. However, in terms of when that will be, the report adds that as Copeland is filming the second season of Disney’s Percy Jackson series, he is not expected to make a return until the new year.

Copeland has been a part of AEW for over a year as he made his shock debut in the promotion at the end of WrestleDream on October 1st, 2023. Initially looking to reunite with former tag team partner Christian Cage, the two ended up feuding when Cage famously told Copeland “Go f*ck yourself” on Dynamite.

Adam Copeland Remains Out Of Action

Former TNT Champion Copeland last competed at Double or Nothing in a cage match against Malakai Black. During the match, Copeland jumped from the top of the cage and landed feet first. Fans were instantly concerned for the Hall of Famer’s well-being after the impact and Copeland struggled to finish the match. Providing an update a few days later, Adam Copeland confirmed that he had fractured his tibia and would be out of action for further notice. The TNT Championship was also relinquished and won by Jack Perry at Forbidden Door later that year.
