CM Punk will return to AEW programming on June 17th, which will be the debut episode of AEW Collision.
The May 31st episode of Dynamite was promoted with another announcement by AEW President Tony Khan. With a previous announcement being that the first episode of Collision would be taking place in Chicago, many had speculated that Punk’s return was inevitable.
Khan thanked the live crowd to kick off the announcement, then stating that more information would now be shared regarding Collision. The AEW President then confirmed that Punk would be a part of Collision, which received a mixed reception from the live crowd in attendance.
This will be the first appearance by CM Punk on AEW TV in over 8 months. The former AEW World Champion was last seen at the 2022 All Out pay-per-view, where the infamous press conference and following backstage brawl took place.
