The odds have been truly stacked against MJF at Double or Nothing.
As a result of the main event of the May 3rd episode of AEW Dynamite, the world champion will defend the title against the other 3 pillars of AEW; Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy in a match that will be every man for himself.
Following Sammy Guevara being victorious against Darby Allin via nefarious means on the April 26th episode of Dynamite, a tag team match was announced for the May 3rd show, where the team of MJF and Sammy Guevara would be scheduled to take on Allin and Jungle Boy. If MJF and Guevara won, the match would remain a singles match. However, if Jungle Boy and Allin were to win, the match would be made into a 4 Pillars 4-Way match.
The ending of the match would see descension between Guevara and MJF, with both men wanting the glory. Guevara would strike MJF, leading to Jungle Boy and Darby Allin taking advantage. Allin hit a Coffin Drop onto Guevara to win the match.
At the time of writing, the 4-Way match for the AEW World Championship is the only match officially announced for the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
