Former WWE Superstar Roderick Strong made a surprise appearance on the April 26th edition of AEW Dynamite, coming to the aid of long-time friend Adam Cole.
Cole came to the ring to address the attack from the previous week on himself and Britt Baker DMD by the Jericho Appreciation Society and The Outcasts. Cole also rushed to the ring, not interacting with the crowd on the way to the ring.
Following a callout, Jericho appeared on the big screen. The former AEW World Champion refused to come to the ring to fight Adam Cole, calling Cole a coward. Jericho then sent the JAS to the ring to beatdown Cole, which Cole attempted to fight off.
AS the numbers game got to Cole, Orange Cassidy and Bandido came to the aide of Cole, but the babyfaces were still outnumbered. Mysterious music then played, with Roderick Strong’s name being revealed on the big screen.
Strong cleared the ring, to stand tall, much to the delight of the live crowd in attendance. Cole and Strong embraced to close out the segment.
Roderick Strong and Adam Cole have been across multiple promotions over the years. Most famously, the duo would ally themselves with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly to form The Undisputed Era in NXT.
Following the debut, Strong was officially announced as All Elite with the traditional graphic posted to social media:
