Rey Mysterio has been announced as the first entrant in the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame Class.
The announcement was made on Friday March 10th, with a video package airing on SmackDown the same evening.
Mysterio has had a decorated career in WWE, with highlights including 3 World Title reigns and winning the 2006 Royal Rumble from the number 2 entrant.
Debuting for WWE in 2002, the master of the 619 was a highlight on the blue brand. The high flyer would become a highlight reel, performing moves that always popped the crowd.
The ultimate underdog would inspire millions of kids to live their dreams inside and outside of the ring, with the Mysterio masks being some of the most sold pieces of WWE merchandise in history.
Mysterio will be inducted at the 203 ceremony, which will take place following the March 31st edition of SmackDown.
