The rivalry between Beth Phoenix and Rhea Ripley is far from over.
The Glamazon returned at the Royal Rumble, delivering a spear to Rhea Ripley following the events that took place during the Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Taking to social media, Phoenix made the following challenge to the former Raw Women’s Champion:
Edge would return to action at the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble. With all 3 members of The Judgment Day in the ring, the Rated R Superstar made it his mission to eliminate Finn Balor, Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio from the match. Edge was out for vengeance after Rhea Ripley delivered a con-chair-to to Beth Phoenix at the Extreme Rules event in 2022, with the shot also being delivered after Edge lost an “I Quit” match to Finn Balor.
With Edge eliminating both Balor and Priest, Balor would return to ringside to pull Edge over the top rope, eliminating the Hall of Famer. Edge was irate at the circumstances of the elimination, going after The Judgment Day members. Rhea Ripley would then come from the back to attack the former WWE Champion, which brought Edge’s wife Beth Phoenix to the top of the ramp, delivering the aforementioned spear to Ripley.
The vengeance by Phoenix did not hinder Ripley later on in the night, as The Nightmare would go on to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match from the number one position, being one of only 4 superstars to accomplish this.
Before Ripley challenges for a title at WrestleMania, it appears that there will be one more obstacle in the way.
