Jay Briscoe is best known for his work in Ring of Honor. While Briscoe was a former 2 time ROH World Champion, but was more well known for his work in the tag team division. Teaming with brother Mark, The Briscoes captured the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships 13 times, with the brothers holding the championships at the time of Jay’s tragic passing.
The Briscoes tag team feud with FTR over the titles was one of the highest praised tag team rivalries in recent years. The teams would see their rivalry escalate to the point where the final match would be a tag team dog collar match. The critically acclaimed match took place at the 2022 Final Battle pay-per-view, which saw The Briscoes defeat Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler to regain the titles for the final time.
