A major title change took place at the IMPACT Wrestling Hard to Kill pay-per-view.

In a title vs. career match, James defeated now former champion Jordynne Grace to capture the championship for the 5th time in her career.

The match took place in the main event of the show. The match was titled The Last Rodeo, seemingly a possible reference to the fact that this could be Mickie James’ last match ever. James came out to a Native American song and dance before Hardcore Country rang out through the arena.

James would win the match by delivering a Tornado DDT onto Grace to win the match and the title and keep her career alive. The victory brings Jordynne Grace’s reign as champion to an end at 208 Days. Grace won the title in a Queen of the Mountain match at the 2022 Slammiversary event.
