Two WWE Hall of Famers are scheduled to make an appearance at the 2023 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the surprises will see Edge and Beth Phoenix appear live on Saturday, January 28th in San Antonio, Texas.

The Rated R Superstar is expected to continue his feud with Finn Balor, following the loss to the first ever Universal Champion at Extreme Rules 2022. Balor won the match when Edge was forced to say “I Quit” due to his wife Beth Phoenix threatened to be hit with a con-chair-to by Rhea Ripley. After the bell rang, Ripley would still hit the devastating chair shot, leaving a horrified Edge to tend to his wife.

In regards to Phoenix’s involvement in the show, The Glamazon is pencilled in to maker her 3rd appearance in the Women’s Royal Rumble and 4th Rumble appearance overall. The former WWE Women’s Champion famously entered the Men’s match in 2010, eliminating The Great Khali. Edge was the winner of that match, returning unannounced at number 29 to earn the WrestleMania match.

It should also be noted that Rhea Ripley has been officially announced for the Royal Rumble, meaning that Phoenix will be out for revenge in the Battle Royale.

Edge’s return from retirement took place at the 2020 Royal Rumble event. The entry at number 21 was one of the biggest returns and loudest crowd reactions in WWE history.
