Adam Cole is back bay bay!
Cole made the return on the January 11th edition of AEW Dynamite, being introduced by Tony Schiavone, who stated that he had no pleasure in introducing the next guest.
As Cole’s music rang out through the arena, The LA Forum erupted, cheering loudly for the Boom and Adam Cole Bay Bay part of the entrance.
Cole opened by stating that he had good news and bad news. The promo began by reflecting on his wrestling career and acknowledging AEW as the best wrestling company in the world.
The promo continued where Cole described his lengthy injuries, which included a shoulder injury and 2 serious head injuries. Cole described his trouble sleeping, but not knowing what the cause of it was. Adam Cole then said that while he wasn’t there, he was thankful for the continued fan support for their concerns for his health.
Cole unfortunately then had to break the bad news, but it was not bad for him. Adam Cole confirmed that he is back and not going anywhere, putting the AEW locker room on notice. Cole ended by stating one day he would be at the top of the mountain.
Cole has been absent from AEW since the AEW and NJPW crossover event Forbidden Door. It had been reported that Cole suffered a concussion in his match, explaining the lengthy absence. Cole’s Forbidden Door match saw Cole, Adam Page, Kazuchika Okada all challenge Jay White for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in a 4 way match. White retained the title in the match.
