The January 4th edition of AEW Dynamite will be the first showing from All Elite Wrestling in 2023. The show is also being marketed as having a new look and presentation for the new year.
The show will be airing live in Seattle, Washington. this will be AEW first presentation from the city.
Following Ricky Starks not winning the AEW World Championship at the Winter is Coming special, Starks was offered a place in the Jericho Appreciation Society. The former number one contender turned down the Ocho, instead challenging Chris Jericho to a match on Dynamite.
The AEW Tag Team Championships will be defended on the first Dynamite of 2023. Jeff Jarrett has taken exception to Max Caster’s comments in his opening raps, and hopes to get retribution as he teams with Jay Lethal to face The Acclaimed with the titles on the line.
The second title on the line on Dynamite will be the TNT Championship. The final AEW Dynamite of 2022 saw Darby Allin stand tall over TNT Champion Samoa Joe, which the champ was infuriated by. Allin will face Joe with the title on the line on Dynamite.
MJF will be appearing live in front of the AEW crowd. The AEW World Champion will not be at Dynamite willingly, as the appearance is being promoted as a contractual obligation.

- Bryan Danielson vs. Tony Nese
- Samoa Joe (c) vs. Darby Allin – Singles match for the TNT Championship
- Jade Cargill & Red Velvet vs. Kiera Hogan & Skye Blue
- Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks
- Swerve Strickland vs. AR Fox
- AEW World Champion MJF is contractually obligated to appear
- Update on Hangman Page’s medical condition
- Jon Moxley to speak
