The first Raw of 2023 will be broadcast love from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Two Championship matches will be taking place on the show.
Austin Theory would defeat Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a Triple threat match at Survivor Series to become the United States Championship for a second time. Rollins will attempt to capture the US Title for a 3rd time as The Visionary takes on the 2022 Money in the Bank winner with the title on the line.
The other championship to be defended on the show is the Raw Women’s Championship. Following a victory in 2 qualifying matches, Alexa Bliss is the new number one contender for the title. Bliss will take on Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship on the January 2nd Raw. It should be noted that Alexa Bliss has been showing more and more behaviours of her former self that was allied with Bray Wyatt. Bliss may once again show these actions in the match.

- Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss – Singles match for the Raw Women’s Championship
