The final episode of SmackDown in 2022 will be broadcast live from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. A title match and John Cena in action are the highlights announced by WWE.
John Cena will be in action to keep the streak alive. Cena has had at least one match once a year since the 2002 debut, with 2022 looking like it would break the achievement. To maintain the streak, Cena will be teaming with Kevin Owens to take on the team of Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn.
The SmackDown Women’s Championship will be on the line on the show. Following Raquel Rodriguez winning a gauntlet match to become the new number one contender, the match was announced to take place on December 30th.
The following matches have been announced to take place on SmackDown:
- John Cena and Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns
- Sheamus vs. Solo Sikoa
- Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez – Singles match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
