Ricky Starks Advances To Semi-Final Of AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament

Ricky Starks has made it to the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, defeating Lance Archer on the November 18th edition of AEW Rampage.

Before the match officially started, Archer and Starks would brawl in the backstage area, before making their way to the ringside area. Both men would fight into the crowd, before finally making their way into the ring for the match to officially begin.

Starks, still in street clothing, was hit by a big lariat from Archer, but kicked out at the last second. Following a failed attempt earlier in the match, Starks would successfully hit a tornado DDT, which also only got a 2 count. The match would end when Starks hit a spear onto Archer, using the additional momentum to get the victory.

Brian Cage, who Starks will face in the next round, would come down the entrance ramp to distract Ricky Starks after the match. Lance Archer would then chokeslam Starks onto the steel steps to stand tall despite losing the match.

The semi-final match between Brian Cage and Ricky Starks will be taking place on the Full Gear buy-in pre-show. The winner of that match will go on to the finals to face Ethan Page on the November 23rd edition of AEW Dynamite. The winner of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament will receive an opportunity at the AEW World Championship at the Winter is Coming special edition episode of AEW Dynamite.
