The Elite, also known as Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, will be making their return to AEW at the Full Gear pay-per-view, with Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson will challenge Death Triangle with Death Triangle’s Trios Championships on the line.
Death Triangle’s PAC would grab a microphone after the group’s successful retention of the titles in a match against AR Fox and Top Flight. PAC referenced the mysterious videos that saw The Elite seemingly being erased from AEW history. The former All Atlantic Champion stated that everyone knows that the videos are referencing the return, with the big screen showing a graphic onscreen of Death Triangle defending the Trios Titles at Full Gear, but with a blank space on the right hand side. The graphic would then update, showing The Elite as the opponents for the champions.
This will be the first time that The Elite will be seen on AEW programming since the All Out pay-per-view, which took place on Sunday September 4th. At All Out, Omega and The Young Bucks would defeat the Dark Order to become the first ever Trios Champions in AEW. However, due to the reported backstage incident that took place after All Out between CM Punk and The Elite, it was announced by AEW President Tony Khan that The Elite would be stripped of their titles.
