Ethan Page is the first competitor to advance in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament, defeating Eddie Kingston in the opening round.
The tournament to crown a number one contender for the world title at AEW Winter is Coming began on the November 9th edition of AEW Dynamite. Page would be accompanied by Stokely Hathaway and Kingston would be accompanied by Ortiz. Kingston appeared to have the match won with the Stretch Plum submission, but Hathaway would distract the referee. Following Ortiz being the equalizer and both men leaving the ringside area, Page would hit an Avalanche EGO’s Edge to win the match.
Page’s victory means that he will advance to the semi-finals of the tournament. Ethan Page will face the winner of the first round match between Bandido and Rush, which will be taking place on AEW Rampage on November 11th. The other first round matches will see Brian Cage face Dante Martin and Ricky Starks face Lance Archer.
