The September 23rd edition of Friday Night SmackDown will be broadcast live from the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show will continue the build to the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event, which takes place on Saturday October 8th.

A title match will be taking place on the show. Following Butch and Ridge Holland of The Brawling Brutes winning a number one contenders match on the September 16th SmackDown, the Tag Team Championships are scheduled to be on the line on SmackDown.

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be appearing live in front of the WWE Universe. The Tribal Chef was last seen at a WWE press conference in Las Vegas, where a match between Reigns and Logan Paul for the title was confirmed to take place at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 5th. Expect Reigns to react to this new on SmackDown.

Following the surprise return by Braun Strowman to WWE, the former Universal Champion has not yet had a match. This will change on SmackDown as Strowman will face off against Otis on the show.

• Braun Strowman vs. Otis
• The Usos (c) vs. Ridge Holland Butch – Tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.
• Roman Reigns to appear live.
