AEW Rampage: Grand Slam 23/9/22 Preview

The September 23rd edition of AEW Rampage will continue the Grand Slam presentation of AEW that took place on Wednesday September 21st. The show will be broadcast from Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York. The show has been pre-taped, with the tapings taking place after Dynamite went off the air. The show will also be 2 hours long, as opposed to the usual 1 hour timeslot seen by AEW Rampage.

Jon Moxley became the AEW World Champion for a 3rd time on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. The first challenger for the title will be determined in a Battle Royal on Rampage. Announced entrants are Lance Archer, Jay Lethal, Penta El Zero Miedo, The Dark Order’s Ten, John Silver, Evil Uno, Rush, and “Hangman” Adam Page.

A celebrity match will also be taking place on Rampage. Action Bronson will be teaming with HOOK, who Action Bronson provides the theme music for. Bronson and Hook will team up to take on Jericho Appreciation Society members Matt Menard and Angelo Parker.

AEW will continue their series of title matches on Rampage with the TBS Championship being defended. Champion Jade Cargill will be defending the title against Diamante on Rampage: Grand Slam.

The following matches have been announced to take place at AEW Rampage Grand Slam:

  • Sting and Darby Allin vs. House of Black – No Disqualification match
  • Rey Fenix vs. Jungle Boy
  • Eddie Kingston vs. Sammy Guevara
  • Action Bronson and HOOK vs. Matt Menard and Angelo Parker
  • Jade Cargill (c) vs. Diamante – Singles match for the TBS Championship
  • Wardlow and Samoa Joe vs. Tony Nese and Josh Woods
  • Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Ricky Starks – Lights Out match
  • Grand Slam Golden Ticket Battle Royale – The winner will receive a future opportunity at AEW World Champion Jon Moxley
