The September 14th edition of AEW Dynamite will be broadcast live from the MVP Arena in Albany, NY. The show will mainly focus on the continuation of the AEW Tournament of Champions.

Following the announcement that AEW President Tony Khan vacated the AEW World Championship on the September 7th Dynamite, a tournament was announced to crown the new champion. On that same episode, Bryan Danielson defeated “Hangman” Adam Page to advance to the second round, where The American Dragon will face Chris Jericho in a rematch from AEW All Out.

On the September 9th edition of AEW Rampage, Sammy Guevara would defeat Darby Allin to advance to the next round. Guevara will face off against Jon Moxley on Dynamite. The winners of each respective macth will face off in the finals on September 21st at AEW Grand Slam airing from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York to be crowned the new AEW World Champion.

The following matches have been announced to take place on AEW Dynamite:

• Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara – Semi-final match in the AEW Tournament of Champions
• Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danielson – Semi-final match in the AEW Tournament of Champions
• Toni Storm and Athena vs. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and Serena Deeb
