Sammy Guevara Advances In The AEW Tournament Of Champions

Sammy Guevara is the second name to advance to the next round of the AEW Tournament of Champions. The victory took place on the September 9th edition of AEW Rampage, where Guevara defeated Darby Allin on AEW Rampage.

Tay Conti would provide interference throughout the match, frequently distracting Darby Allin. Guevara would frequently hit high risk moves to attempt to gain an advantage. Guevara would attempt to hit a Coffin Drop onto Darby Allin, but Allin would move out of the way.

Anna Jay would come down to the ring to provide additional distractions, to which Sammy Guevara took advantage of. Guevara wold hit a low blow onto Allin, followed up by a Powerbomb onto a skateboard and then hitting the Go To Hell to become victorious.

The victory for Guevara means that he will face Jon Moxley in the second round. The winner of that match will advance to the final at AEW Grand Slam, where a new AEW World Champion will be crowned. In the other side of the tournament bracket, Bryan Danielson would defeat “Hangman” Adam Page in the opening round. Danielson will take on Chris Jericho in the second round.
