First Match Announced For WWE Extreme Rules

WWE has officially announced the first match due to take place at the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event on Saturday October 8th.

A Fatal 5 Way elimination match would take place on the September 9th episode of SmackDown, where the winner would face Liv Morgan and Extreme Rules for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The participants in the match were Ronda Rousey, Sonya Deville, Xia Li, Natalya and Lacey Evans.

Natalya would be eliminated first, submitting to Rousey when Rousey applied the armbar onto Natalya. Rousey and Deville would then place submission holds onto Evans and Li respectively, resulting in both Evans and Li tapping out. Sonya Deville and Ronda Rousey were the last two competitors in the match, where Rousey would get the victory via ankle lock submission.

Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship will be a rematch from SummerSlam 2022, where Morgan successfully retained via pinfall despite appearing to submit to Rousey before the referee counted to 3.

At the time of writing, Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship is the only match officially announced for the Extreme Rules Premium Live Event.
