The September 9th edition of AEW Rampage will continue the fallout from the All Out pay-per-view and the events that followed backstage after the show went off of the air. The show will air from Buffalo, New York, with the show being taped following the September 7th episode of AEW Dynamite.

The AEW Tournament of Champions will continue on Rampage. The AEW World Championship was vacated on the September 7th edition of Dynamite, with a tournament announced to crown a new champion. The first match saw Bryan Danielson advance to the second round to face Chris Jericho. Round 1 will continue on Rampage as Sammy Guevara will face Darby Allin, with the winner going on to face Jon Moxley in the next round.

A title match will also be taking place on Rampage. Ring of Honor World Champion Claudio Castagnoli will be defending the championship against Dax Harwood on the show.

Another Ring of Honor Champion will also be appearing on Rampage. ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe will address the AEW fans on Rampage.
